Alphabet Soup Found To Be Toxic!

As a little girl in the 60’s I fondly remember sitting at our kitchen table with my brother and my mom placing in front of us a steaming bowl of Alphabet soup and a stack of soda crackers.  A warm lunch, giggles, spelling lessons and mischief shared at our kitchen table, many fond memories. That red and white can still exists on supermarket shelves but the term “Alphabet Soup” has changed drastically in today’s society.

The throngs of federal agencies have now been fondly deemed Alphabet Soup agencies by the American public. These agencies were not a part of the founding governing process set in place by our forefathers, in fact if you read the Declaration of Independence one of the charges against the crown describes them exactly!  “He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people, and eat out their substance.” This grievance and many more are listed before the excessive tax grievance that is commonly believed to the reason for separation from England.

This multitude of new offices all started with the growth of the country and the expansion of governmental responsibilities which led to the creation of the Department of the Interior in 1849, the Department of Justice in 1870, and the Post Office Department in 1872. It wasn’t long before these agencies were derailed by greed and power and no longer served the purpose of protecting the rights of the people but the special interest of the few. The great depression and then the upheaval of the 60’s and 70’s brought unbelievable growth in numbers of these agencies.  Today there are hundreds of Federal agencies maybe thousands if you count all the sub agencies, spending billions upon billions of our tax dollars and more are being created as we speak, many to regulate things the federal government has no business regulating.

This short bit of history is a lead up to a specific question relevant today. In western states much of our land is owned by the Federal government and regulated by these alphabet soup agencies, many residents of these states are waking up and questioning the authority of that ownership and the tactics used to regulate. If you read the text of the states founding documents it seems clear that ownership was meant to be temporary but history has shown governments in all cases but a very few view temporary as permanent.  Citizens standing up to theses agencies and their tactics are in today's news involving yet again…the BLM. The BLM’s arrogance along with most of the federal government has spiraled out of control in the last few decades and as our Declaration of Independence states so truly as it begins” When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary …”  Our forefathers would be livid at the power the people have relinquished to these agencies. They literally gave everything they had, their fortunes, their property, their honor and many their lives for our liberty and we are wasting it so we can avoid uncomfortable situations.

I applaud and support the Oath Keepers who have promised to stand for our constitutional rights and have been actively doing so a number of times recently and are right now standing in Southwestern Oregon. I have heard many who berate or accuse them of trying to start conflict but they have not started this and someone has to stand sometime or this country is lost. Who better to protect our rights and laws that those who have spoken and actually live out in their lives and jobs the oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign or domestic?  We are so deep into governmental control  and abuse that change has to come from many angles to have any effect, simply voting once a year is not going to change the eroding of our rights. We have to start standing for liberty and our God given rights as our Constitution affirms and we have to start with ourselves.  It is general consensus with any person with a modicum of common sense the change has to come but what I hear form the majority is “I don’t want to give up any of my comforts, let someone else stand for…”, that my friend will be the downfall of the great nation known as America. You, yes YOU may have to give up a little of your comfort to preserve liberty for our future generations.

So if you don’t want toxic alphabet soup in your life and want to know where to start here are a few suggestions:
Follow Krisanne Hall as she teaches the constitution at http://krisannehall.com/
Follow Walbuilders as they teach how liberty and constitutionally minded can bring change in the governmental process at http://wallbuilderslive.com
Follow John Jacob Schmidt at Radio Free Redoubt for a huge dose of common sense in dealing with the issues of today at http://radiofreeredoubt.com

Pay attention to your government and don’t let them run over you, this is a Constitutional Republic and  they are your employees, you are not their subjects. Read your Constitution, Read the Declaration of Independence and start thinking for yourselves instead of taking as gospel everything you hear on the nightly news and take the toxic out of alphabet soup by helping to put it back in the can.

God Bless America and I implore America to start Blessing God,

C LastName
